Chemical Free Iron and Hydrogen Sulfide Filtration with Bacterial Control
Introducing the Genesis Ozone Chemical Free System, the ideal solution for controlling iron, hydrogen sulfide, manganese and bacteria within the filter system. No more rotten egg water. No more messy and expensive chemicals.
Our Genesis Ozone Chemical Free system allows you to reduce high dissolved iron up to 7ppm, manganese up to 5ppm, and hydrogen sulfide up to 5ppm with one simple system.
Will not remove colloidal iron, sulfates or SRB's. Requires a minimum pH of 6.8
Set it and Forget It
The Genesis Ozone System is a "set and forget" system! No need to ever worry about reprogramming or resetting the time. The Genesis control has a unique feature of an internal capacitor that will keep your time set for up to 48 hours in the event of a power outage. It also has a non-volatile memory standard that will never allow your system settings to ever be lost.
Reduce Bacteria Levels in Your Well Water Filtration
Genesis Ozone water treatment can reduce and kill bacteria and virus within your well system. Reduces iron, manganese, and sulfur, providing clean water throughout your home. This treatment is more powerful than chlorination with no chemical residue left behind!
No More Rotten Egg Water
Hydrogen sulfide can give water the rotten egg smell, turn water black and cause a greasy feeling, leave dark stains on fixtures and appliances, tarnish silverware, and destroy stainless steel and copper pipes due to its corrosive properties. The Genesis Ozone iron filter eliminates this sulfur and reduces your risk of ruining your home.
How Does Ozone Water Filtration Work?
Ozone is composed of three Oxygen atoms. One of the atoms is connected to the others weakly and will transfer itself to other substances such as viruses and bacteria, causing them to oxidize by binding itself onto them. Ozone water Filtration accounts for more than 90% of the world's filtered water and most bottled waters are treated by ozone.
There is a new trend in which some pool companies have begun to use ozone water filtration instead of traditionally used chlorine due to the fact that it has less undesirable side effects.
*This system is not a proportional feed.
Ozone water Filtration requires something called an ozone generator. The ozone generator produces ozone much in the same way as the sun does in the upper atmosphere. High voltage chamber inside the ozone generator simulate the ozone producing ultraviolet rays of the sun and when compressed air is passed through the chamber of the ozone generator, some of the oxygen is converted to ozone.
The ozone that has been produced is then passed into a diffuser which creates bubbles and saturates them with ozone.
These ozone saturated bubbles are then mixed with water in a water filtration tank causing the weaker Oxygen molecule in the ozone to separate and bind itself to any organic molecules existing in the water. When this oxygen molecule attaches itself to organic matter oxidization takes place and the substance is turned into something else resulting in better, cleaner drinking water.
Water treated by ozone is now free of protozoa, fungi, germs and bacteria and is improved for human consumption.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Genesis 2 Ozone filtration system a whole home iron filter?
Yes, it is designed to filter all of the water being used inside the home.
Does the Genesis 2 Ozone filtration system release Ozone into my water supply?
No, the ozone molecules never leave the filtration tank.
Is the Genesis 2 Ozone filtration system a whole home bacterial control system?
No, the ozone generator is only used for reducing bacteria in the filtration media to reduce or remove the iron and odors associated with the bacteria.
Will the ozone damage my plumbing?
No the ozone never leaves the filter tank and thus does not come in contact with plumbing pipes.
How is the ozone created?
The ozone generator mounted on the back of the control valve is powered by the same power supply as the control valve. A relay turns on during backwash of the system ever 3 days. The system turns on the ozone generator so that it draws in ozone created in the ozone generator corona chamber and is drawn into the filter tank.
How much water does the Genesis 2 Ozone system use each time it backwashes?
Like all iron filters, the required backwash rate and amount of water used is the same. Most iron filters are required to use between 100 and 200 gallons per backwash. Unfortunately that is something that all iron filters use and is needed for proper rinse of the medias.
Can I backwash the Genesis 2 Ozone filtration for less time or less often?
Unfortunately, you cannot. Doing so can cause the system to not function properly and thus could foul the filtration media. It can also cause the media to not last nearly as long or even lead to bacterial growth within the filter.
How long should my Genesis 2 Ozone filtration system last?
Most iron filter systems last 8-10 years if setup and used properly. Higher iron levels above 7ppm are not going to be able to be removed by the Genesis Ozone filtration system.
What if I have more than 7ppm of iron?
For iron levels above 7ppm it is highly recommended to use our whole home chlorination system for proportional feed of an oxidizer. Here is a link to that system.
What is the warranty on my Genesis 2 ozone filtration system?
The control valve and tank have a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects.
Does the manufacturer warranty cover issues caused by iron or other impurities in the water?
No, one of the difficult things with iron filtration is to ensure that the problematic iron only precipitates out in the filtration media. Unfortunately, that is not something that will occur. Iron build up in the control valve that leads to a control valve failure is not a warranty covered issue.
Is there a way to check if my ozone generator is putting ozone into the filter tank?
Yes, start a manual backwash and after the display starts counting down advance the system to the air draw stage. Once counting down on the air draw stage put your finger over the air draw opening on the ozone generator hose. You should feel a light suction. If you do the system is working. If not, then there may be a plugged injector that needs cleaning out. Contact customer service and we can provide instruction on how to complete that cleaning.
